ALTERATION WORKSHOP - MAY 16th 12PM CST
VIRTUAL ALTERation Workshop ~ PANTS SATURDAY, MAY 16th; 12:00 - 2:00PM ~
This is a beginner to moderate level course designed for anyone interested in altering, tailoring or repairing their own jeans/pants. This class will focus on denim and woven pant apparel. To get the most out of this class, it’s recommended that you have a basic understanding of the home sewing machine.
In this class we will walk through some of the most common clothing alterations and learn the skills to modify or repair your own clothing, specifically jeans/pants. These skills can help you adjust or repair the clothing you already own, and provide you with the freedom to better shop vintage, thrift or second hand.
Students should have up to 3 pairs of pants they would like to learn how to alter; hem jeans and keep the original hem, alter waist bands with darts or back of pants with contour darts, side seams and more.
Please make sure the clothing is larger and needs to be taken in.
This class will take place over ZOOM and be recorded. You will receive an invite to the ZOOM platform the Friday evening before class. You will receive a google drive link to the recording of the class by Sunday, May 17th.
